Steamed cauliflower cooking time. Place cauliflower and water into a microwave safe bowl. Place a plate over the bowl and microwave for 3 to 4 minutes, depending on how much bite you like in your cauliflower, how large the pieces are, and how powerful your microwave is. If your only experience with cauliflower is soggy overcooked florets, it's time to try a new cooking method.

The cooking process for instant pot steamed cauliflower is the same as for instant pot broccoli and instant pot green beans. Since cauliflower is naturally mild, roasting it in a hot oven brings out a rich flavor. Heat some olive oil or avocado oil in a large skillet on medium heat.

Cauliflower is cooked on “pressure cook” or “manual” mode at zero minutes cooking time. Empty the cauliflower out of the steamer basket back into the pot. Once boiling, add the cauliflower (in the steamer basket, if it has a handle).

If you feel like it, serve with a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, and a grind of fresh black pepper. Drizzle with oil and toss with red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Top with the cooked cauliflower and scatter with almonds, apricots, mint leaves and the extra lemon zest.

Drizzle on oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Remove the steamer basket from the saucepan, and pour out the water. Remove steamed cauliflower from the double boiler.

If the cauliflower is quite moist when done, place between paper towels to dry. Set up the steamer and put in the cauliflower florets. Fill with enough salted water to come just below basket;

How long to steam cauliflower. While the cauliflower is cooking you’ll want to prepare an ice bath of cold water and ice. You may have to do a little experimenting to find your perfect cooking time.

Reduce the heat to simmer and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, until the cauliflower is easily pierced. The small inner leaves become tender with cooking. The key is to use a large pan and have the cauliflower rice really spread out over it, not all crowded together.

Once done steaming, drain broccoli and cauliflower and place in a serving dish. When the time is up, carefully perform a quick release and immediately put the cauliflower into the ice bath. Microwave cauliflower on high for 5 minutes, then allow to steam for an additional 2 minutes (do not remove the lid from the bowl during this time).

Cook until tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Once steaming time is up, carefully remove the lid from the bowl, it is full of hot steam, which will all escape whn the lid is removed. Serve hot or warm in wedges.

When it’s done, it should pierce easily. Set a steamer basket in a large saucepan with a lid. Transfer the cauliflower to a plate, sprinkle with black pepper and serve.

Put the cauliflower into a roasting pan and cook until it’s well browned on the outside and soft in the middle, about 45 minutes. Add cauliflower to the steamer basket, cover the saucepan, and steam until the cauliflower is tender, 4 to 5 minutes. Add 1 head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), cored and cut into small florets.

Steam with the lid on 10 to 12 minutes until just tender. Close and lock the lid. Once the florets are tender but not mushy, they're finished.

Set the steamer basket over the boiling water and cook until tender, 4 to 8 minutes depending on the size of the florets. When done, immediately quick release the pressure. Add herbs and toss to coat.

What you’re doing here is shocking the vegetables. Test to see if the cauliflower is done, keep cooking in 1 minute intervals until done. Reduce to a simmer, and cover;

To test for doneness, pierce the cauliflower with a fork. You can steam frozen cauliflower right from frozen. Spread cauliflower into an even layer on a large baking sheet, making sure to not overcrowd the pan.

If steaming for mashing, it may take up to 10 minutes. This stops the cooking immediately and allows it to retain the color and crispness. Once the water starts boiling, rest a steamer basket in the pot so that the bottom isn't touching the water.

Lower it into the instant pot. Use the “steam” button on the instant pot set for 1 minute to cook the cauliflower. Cover the pot with a lid.

To serve, spread the hommus over a platter. Basically the time to cook cauliflower is the time it takes to come to pressure, which is less than 10 minutes. Steam for 10 to 12 minutes.
